On Friday, during Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) 5-wicket win against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, a major feat was recorded. While the win was RCB’s 50th at their home turf in IPL, their star player and former skipper Virat Kohli also added another feather to his cap with his well-made 81.
The 37-year-old during his 44-ball 81 scripted history by becoming the first batter in the league to complete 800 fours. During his stay in the middle, the veteran batter smashed 8 fours and foru sixes to get to 807 fours and 303 sixes, which is the most by any player in the illustrous history of the cash-rich league. Additionally, with the dominating numbers, he now boasts of 1110 boundaries, which is also the most by any player. He achived this feat in his 274th match. Playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru since the league’s inception, Virat Kohli has notched several feats. But on Friday, he became the first batter to hit 800 fours in IPL history. He now boasts of 807 fours and is only the third batter to smash over 300 sixes after Chris Gayle (357) and Rohit Sharma (310).
Rohit Sharma (963 runs in 276 games)
After Kohli, is another veteran, Rohit Sharma on the list. The former MI skipper and five-time IPL winner has registered 963 boundaries across 271 innings, including 653 fours and 310 sixes. While he continues to play for MI, he aims to extend his legacy in the league.

The list is majorly dominated by Indian stars, and in the third place is Shikhar Dhawan. Having last featured in IPL in 2024, Dhawan stands tall in the list of players with most boundaries with 768 fours and 152 sixes across 222 matches.
