England unveil squad for Ashes 5th Test, Shoaib Bashir, Matthew Potts added for SCG tie

Having already lost the Ashes in a record 11 days, England will be hoping to end the tour on a winning note.

England cricket team have unveiled their 12-man squad for the AUS vs ENG Ashes 5th Test which will take place at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) between January 4-8. Ben Stokes and co. managed to finally win a Test on Australian soil after over 5000 days as they clinched a 4-wicket win against the hosts in what was a two-day contest in Melbourne. Having already lost the Ashes in a record 11 days, England will be hoping to end the tour on a winning note.

England’s 12-man squad for Ashes 5th Test

England have added spinner Shoaib Bashir and Matthew Potts to their squad for the 5th and final AUS vs ENG Test. From the side that defeated Australia in the fourth Test in Melbourne, Gus Atkinson is the only player missing, having been ruled out with a hamstring injury. Bashir’s addition comes as a part of England’s plan to boost their spin unit as spinners are expected to get more assistance from the surface at the SCG.
