Kudus scores stunning volley vs Fulham

Tottenham had been stunned early on by quickfire first-half goals from Kenny Tete and Harry Wilson, forcing Thomas Frank’s men to chase the game. The pressure eventually told.

From a corner that Fulham failed to clear, Lucas Bergvall calmly lifted the loose ball into Kudus’ path.

The Nima-born forward brought it down beautifully on his chest and unleashed a thunderous strike that rocketed into the net in the 59th minute, an effort that instantly became the highlight of the match, as cited by Tottenham's official website.

The goal is Kudus’ second for Spurs since his £55 million move from West Ham United in the summer, adding to the one he scored on October 4 against Leeds United to break his scoring drought.

With his latest strike, Kudus now has six goal involvements in the Premier League this season (two goals and four assists), according to Transfermarkt.

As expected, fans, especially Ghanaians, flocked to social media to react to the wonder goal. YEN.com.gh compiled some of the best reactions from X (formerly Twitter):

@KBM270 exclaimed:

"Herr, the goal is mad."

@OsikaniOfficial added:

"What a goal by Mohammed Kudus."

@NaijascoutforSE praised the Ghanaian star:

"Honestly, Ghana are so lucky they have a very good all-round winger/attacking midfielder. What a player."

@theyawofosu chimed in:

"Kudus. What a great goal!"

@elvraps summed it up:

"What a screamer from Kudus!"

Despite the brilliance of Kudus’ strike, it ultimately made no difference to the final result.

Tottenham slumped to their third defeat in seven days, falling 2–1 at home to Fulham after back-to-back losses to Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.

Kudus' Tottenham face uphill task

The Black Stars forward, who was blamed for Tottenham's defeat to Bournemouth, will now look to arrest their poor run of form, but the road ahead is far from easy.

Their next stop is St James' Park, where they face an in-form Newcastle United side riding a two-game winning streak on December 2.

After that Spurs play three games in eight days, according to Flashscore. Thomas Frank's men will take on his former side, Brentford, in the league, host Slavia Praha in the Champions League and then face Nottingham Forest.

They will round off the year with a tough home clash against Liverpool on December 20 before ending 2025 away to Crystal Palace.

For Kudus, the hope will be to build on his electric strike against Fulham and carry that momentum into the crucial fixtures ahead.

Kudus overpowers Arsenal star

Earlier, YEN.com.gh highlighted how Mohammed Kudus showcased why he is considered one of the Premier League’s most formidable attackers during Tottenham’s match against Arsenal on November 23.

Despite ending up on the losing side, the 25-year-old earned widespread praise, especially for his dominant physical battle with Arsenal’s Eberechi Eze.
