How much Anthony Joshua will earn: Purse and prize money for Daniel Dubois fight

Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois go head to head at Wembley this weekend for the IBF heavyweight title - and there's a pretty penny on the line for both men in one of Britain's greatest match-ups

Anthony Joshua has hopes of becoming a three-time world champion this weekend as he chases Daniel Dubois' IBF title.

AJ and 'DDD' go head to head at Wembley Stadium come Saturday evening (September 21), the winner looking increasingly likely to take on either Oleksandr Usyk or Tyson Fury for undisputed greatness - depending on the result of their December rematch. And both Joshua and Dubois will be paid handsomely for their blockbuster showdown in the English capital - with a reported 60-40 split in Joshua's favour.

Sporty Salaries say that Joshua will take home a guaranteed £6million for the fight - with potential to rise to up to £25million depending on PPV sales from the event. Dubois is meanwhile reported to take home at least £3.5million for the bout, rising to up to £10million depending on sales.

Despite Dubois being the reigning IBF champion, Joshua's payday is said to eclipse the 27-year-old's due to him being the bigger draw in the world of boxing - but if figures are correct, it will still be his biggest payday to date. The 21-2 man reportedly took home around $2.2million (£1.6m) from his 2020 loss to Joe Joyce, while his bout with Usyk last summer is said to have earned him in the region of $2million (£1.5m).

AJ, meanwhile, is no stranger to a hefty payday. The 34-year-old currently sits with a reported $83million (£62.9m) net worth according to Forbes, as well as in 16th on the list of highest-paid athletes in 2024. It is said that his most recent fight with former UFC star Francis Ngannou earned him around $50million (£37.9m), while his 2022 rematch with Usyk reportedly bolstered his bank balance by $119million (£90.2m) after lucrative sponsorships.

Joshua is currently riding a four-fight winning streak heading into his clash with Dubois, with recent wins over Ngannou, Otto Wallin, Robert Helenius and Jermaine Franklin to his name. He has an overall record of 28-3 with 25 knockouts - his only losses coming to Usyk and Andy Ruiz Jr.

Dubois, meanwhile, is on a two-fight winning streak heading into the clash of the titans. He bested Jarrell Miller last December before taking on Filip Hrgovic for the interim IBF belt in June this year - stopping the Croatian in the eighth round. His championship was upgraded when Usyk was stripped of the IBF title for choosing a rematch with Fury over Dubois - who was the federation's mandatory challenger.
