Warren O’Hora reckons the comeback against Aberdeen proves Hibs’ dressing room is 100 per cent behind David Gray.

They came from behind in stoppage time twice to salvage a 96th-minute point in a dramatic 3-3 draw with Aberdeen. Hibs may be bottom but Gray has always been adamant his players have been giving their all, although individual errors have been costing his team dearly. O’Hora is adamant the players have their boss’ back and they wouldn’t allow any other view within the Easter Road camp.

The Irish defender said: “Obviously, there have been question marks over the character of the team over the last few weeks. We are where we are in the league, that happens. The league never lies. But they’re all behind the gaffer 100 per cent. There’s no doubt about it. There’s nobody in the dressing room feeling any different. I don’t think we’d allow it in any way, anyone who would ever feel like they’re breaking away from the group or not behind the staff. The gaffer and his staff have been amazing for us. You’ve seen it in the celebrations when we scored at the end.”

The Hibs defender has insisted that there is a unity at the club right across the board, on and off the park. The fans made their feeling known during the game with a sack the board banner and chants for the dismissal of chief executive Ben Kensell and sporting director Malky Mackay.

O’Hora claimed: “I’m working with these lads every day. I can see the hard work. By lads I mean staff as well and the club in general. I can see the hard work that everybody’s putting in on the training pitch.

“Little things that you don’t even see like kit men, chefs, staff around the building. We’re all sticking together here. We all want the best for this club, there’s no doubt about it. In the last couple of minutes against Aberdeen we showed that this club is still together.

“There’s no doubt in our squad that we’re breaking or we’re falling or nothing like that. We’re sticking right together to the end in every game.”

It was his fellow central defender, Rocky Bushiri, who has gone from zero to hero with his 96th-minute leveller. Bushiri found himself out on the team but has battled his way back in. O’Hora added: “Rocky, he’s been great for us. I’m absolutely delighted for him. He’s had a tough time since I’ve come to the club. He hasn’t played a lot. He’s been brilliant since he’s come in.

“That shows you that the boys who haven’t played as much and are coming into the last two or three games are coming off the bench, they’re all behind the gaffer. We’re all working really, really hard to get up the table for ourselves as well. Because we’re a proper team and that showed in the character to stand up against Aberdeen.”

O’Hora is pleased to stop the rot but knows Hibs could have beaten Aberdeen, but individual mistakes cost them again. He knows they need to cut them out because they are costing Hibs dearly, admitting:“One hundred per cent, yeah of course. That happens everywhere in football, it’s the fine margins. One step in the wrong direction and it could be a mistake and lead to a goal.

“We’re in the top division in Scotland, you’ve got to get punished. Some silly decisions over the weeks, 100 per cent.

“I was in the exact same boat a couple of weeks ago – I made a silly mistake and we conceded from it. It does happen, there’s no doubt about it, we need to cut it out. We are where we are because of it. There’s no shying away from that.”
