Adam Idah appeared to have objects thrown at him from the Hearts end after scoring his first goal in the 4-1 win - and Brendan Rodgers condemned those scenes as 'never good.'
The Ireland striker came off the bench for Celtic as they put some daylight between themselves and Aberdeen at last. There wasn't much in the first half, but Kyogo and Nicolas Kuhn put the Hoops 2-0 up after the break before Idah emerged to score twice, either side of Musa Drammeh's screamer.
After his first goal, he celebrated in front of the Hearts fans and Sky Sports reporter Luke Shanley picked up on 'things being thrown' at the striker, which he put to the Celtic boss at full-time. He asked if it was a 'concern' and Rodgers coldly responded: "It's always a concern. I didn't see that, but it's never good."
What was good, as far as the Hoops boss is concerned, is the fact his team now have a three-point cushion to fall back on after Aberdeen fell to defeat against St Mirren earlier on Saturday. They're also now 11 ahead of bitter rivals Rangers after they also dropped points against Dundee United, so it could hardly have been a better Saturday for the Premiership champions.
Rodgers said: "We showed some good signs in the first half, but the second half we were much better, much cleaner with our possession. If your nearest rivals drop points, then of course you want to take advantage of that.
"It's still very early in the season, but it's good to get the win. This is a very tough game but we've managed the game very well and got the three points. I'm really pleased. We've just got to keep focusing and keep that intensity."
