MACCLESFIELD, Jan 10 : FA Cup holders Crystal Palace were beaten 2-1 by non-league side Macclesfield on Saturday as the sixth-tier club that sits 117 places below the champions produced a giant-killing performance to knock out the Premier League side.
Paul Dawson gave Macclesfield the lead in the first half before Isaac Buckley-Ricketts made it 2-0 at the hour-mark. Although Palace's Yeremy Pino halved the deficit with a stunning free kick, Macclesfield held on for a memorable upset.
