Liberia: Electoral District #10 Makes Statement in Inaugural Montserrado County Kickball District League

September 28, 2026: Electoral District 10 of Montserrado County is currently without a lawmaker in the Lower House of Liberia’s bicameral Legislature; yet, it is not staying back as the Liberia Kickball Federation (LKF) hosts the first-ever District Tournament.

Without a sitting lawmaker, one man has stood tall in taking full responsibility for the team’s participation in the inaugural edition, and that man is Thomas Horatio Taylor III.

Speaking to this news outlet following the qualification of the district for the next stage of the competition, residents, including the team’s coordinator, Enoch Bouazizi, extolled Mr. Taylor for his immense support for the team.

As part of his support, Bouazizi explained that Mr. Taylor has bought several sets of jerseys and camp wear and has provided regular per diems whenever the team is playing or practicing.

In the absence of a Representative, the district went on to top Group 2, snatching two wins, including a 4-1 thrashing of star-studded District #6, and a draw against a well-organized District #3.

For Coordinator Enoch and residents, this means a lot for the happiness of the dwellers, giving all thanks to their “philanthropist,” Taylor.

“The man behind District #10 kickball team success is Hon. Thomas Horatio Taylor III. Thanks for your support. Our girls are proud of your hard work. Now they are in the knockout stage with no defeat. We await the next fixtures to continue our winning spirit,” wrote Bouazizi on his Facebook page as he extolled the man behind the scenes.

As it stands, District #10 finds itself among the elites of the district league, which include financial powerhouses such as Representative Emmanuel Dahn’s District #7 and Sumo Mulbah’s District #3.

For them, qualification to the next stage is something worthy of celebrating, but winning the most coveted prize will bring pride and dignity to the district and its people.

“This will be the biggest pride for us as a people of Electoral District #10. In fact, we are even by far better than districts that are being fully supported by their lawmakers. And in fact, some of these districts did not even qualify. For us, we motivated ourselves that we could compete. Luckily for us, a well-meaning citizen of the district, Mr. Taylor, led the charge of financial support, and now we are competitors and not just participants,” added Enoch as he heaped praises on their main supporter.

Meanwhile, the fixture for the knockout stages of the competition, leading all the way to the grand finale, is expected to be released anytime this week.
