Francis Ngannou is known for his incredible punching power, but the former UFC heavyweight champion flexed his takedown ability this week during a meetup with Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana.
Despite no loner competing under the UFC banner, Ngannou has still become one of the most recognizable stars in combat sports. His failed attempts at professional boxing left something to be desired from fight fans, but “Predator” regained his aura of invincibility with a recent first-round knockout over Renan Ferreira for his Professional Fighters League (PFL) debut back in October.
With success inside of the cage, Ngannou has experienced more opportunities outside of it. This includes a recent appearance at the Manchester United soccer game at Old Trafford stadium in England. That’s where Ngannou met up with fellow Cameroonian athlete, Onana, and showed off some of his fighting skills.
After a brief discussion, Ngannou squared off with Onana and then level changed for a takedown. The former UFC heavyweight champion quickly gained full mount and pretended to rain down heavy punches. It was a cool scene to say the least and another wholesome moment from one of the most dangerous fighters in the world today.
