UFC Vegas 105 went down last night (Sat., April 5, 2025) inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, which saw Lerone Murphy defeat Josh Emmett in the ESPN-streamed main event via unanimous decision (recap here). In the co-main event, Pat Sabatini defeated Joanderson Brito via unanimous decision as well (relive it here).

Biggest Winner: Lerone Murphy

It may not have been the most exciting win, but Murphy did what he had to do, stifling Emmett and avoiding his heavy hands en route to winning a clear-cut unanimous decision. With the win, the British brawler remains undefeated (16-0-1) and has now won eight straight fights inside the Octagon. He will definitively make a huge climb in the rankings next week, and a bigger fight will be lurking around the corner now that he’s notched the biggest win of his career in his second-ever chance to headline an event.

Runner Up: Pat Sabatini

Sabatini delivered one of his most dominant performances in recent memory, resulting in a one-sided, clear-cut unanimous decision win over Brito, who was the big favorite to come out on top in the matchup. But, Sabatini simply would not be denied, digging deep into his bag to deliver a one-sided wrestling clinic. In the process of their 15-minute fight, Sabatini also avoided taking much damage. With the win, Sabatini has now won two straight and improves to 7-2 overall inside the Octagon.

Biggest Loser: Diana Belbita

There were several fighters who suffered crucial defeats last night, but Belbita gets the nod because her loss at the hands of Dione Barbosa could very well cost her a spot on UFC’s crowded roster. Indeed, Barbosa made quick work of “The Warrior Princess,” submitting her in the first round. With the loss, Belbita drops to three straight and has now lost four of her last five fights inside the Octagon. With an overall record of 2-6 under UFC’s banner and never having won two in a row, her time with the promotion could very well be at an end.
