Demanding FC Barcelona star Dani Olmo told Jorge Valdano that he doesn't believe he's "done anything yet" in his career during an interview broadcast on local television in Spain.

Despite lifting a number of trophies with his first professional club Dinamo Zagreb, plus the Euros in La Roja's colors last summer, Olmo told Valdano that he has "the feeling that I have not done anything yet and I can do much more".

"I'm insatiable, I want to win more and more and keep winning," Olmo said. "In the end we compete for titles, we are footballers and we like to win. I don't like to lose even to marbles, you always have to go for everything".

Rejoining his boyhood outfit Barca in the summer from RB Leipzig, the 26-year-old believes that he is starting a new cycle "with the maximum enthusiasm and the same ambition that I have had until now".

"The next step is to win and continue winning to give everyone a lot of joy," he further stated.

Discussing his best position, Olmo said that he feels most comfortable "as a midfielder, a 10, just behind the nine".

"I started well because of my personality, I was confident that it was the best club and team for me. I knew many players with whom I had coincided and played many games and I knew that he was going to understand me perfectly," he said, about his roaring start to a second life in Catalonia hampered only by a recent injury.

Because of his experiences with them playing in the Spain national team, Olmo knew that he would gel with Pedri and Lamine Yamal.

"I knew that with Pedri I was going to connect perfectly, he is one of the players with whom I understand the most today and being able to play with him throughout the year in the same team makes it much easier for me," Olmo said, adding that "with Lamine is is also very easy".

The 26-year-old has been impressed by the work rate of Raphinha, who he didn't know before.

"He seems tireless. Sometimes I tell him, 'Rapha, be careful'. But that pressure... that desire that he has without the ball to recover it... That makes the others say 'Hey, I can't stand here, if the one on my side runs like this, I'll be the same or more'," Olmo stressed.
