Bechem United assistant coach Mallam Yahaya has disclosed that the team has prepared adequately to face Asante Kotoko in their next match in the Ghana Premier League.

The Hunters are travelling to Kumasi this weekend and will take on the Porcupine Warriors in a Week 16 fixture of the ongoing league campaign.

Speaking in a pre-match interview, Mallam Yahaya described Kotoko as the biggest team in Ghana and among the biggest teams in Africa.

Although he notes Bechem United will respect Kotoko on the matchday, he insists the team will give the side a tough match while fighting to secure at least a point.

“We are still learning and correcting our mistakes so that we can improve. Kotoko is the biggest team in Ghana. This is a league match. Although we respect them a lot, we will put it aside on the field. Our boys are in form, and if they are able to play well, they will give Kotoko a tough match,” Mallam Yahaya said in an interview with Bechem United TV.

The assistant coach of Bechem United added, “I’m confident that we can pick either one point or all three points from the match.”

The Week 16 fixture between Asante Kotoko and Bechem United will kick off at 3:30 pm at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, December 28.
