AFCON 2025: Photos as Morocco welcomes Africa for continental showpiece

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations officially begins on Sunday, December 21, 2025 in Morocco, with fans, football stars and natives treated to beautiful scenes in Marrakech and other hosts cities. 

The North Africans have invested heavily to making sure they host one of the best tournaments in the history of the Africa Cup of Nations.

With 24 nations set for the ultimate prize, Morocco -one of the favourites - will begin the competition with a game against Comoros on Sunday.
