Medeama boss Ibrahim Tanko anticipating a 'very good' game against Asante Kotoko

Medeama SC coach Ibrahim Tanko says he expects a "very good" contest when his side faces Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

The two sides are separated by just two points, with Medeama on 22 points in third place and Kotoko on 20 points in fourth.

Since their 1-0 defeat to Karela United on September 28, Medeama have remained unbeaten in the league, winning four and drawing four matches.

Tanko said, "I think it is going to be a very good game because both clubs have very good teams."

Kotoko, meanwhile, are coming off a 2-1 loss to Basake Holy Stars, their first defeat of the season, which has disrupted their preparations.

Despite that setback, Kotoko have a strong recent record at home against Medeama, winning two of their last encounters at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Sunday’s match is set to kick off at 4PM, with both teams aiming to strengthen their league positions and keep their title ambitions alive.
