‘Our best hasn’t been good enough’ – Eleven Wonders coach Emmanuel Aidoo
· GhanaSoccernetEleven Wonders head coach Emmanuel Aidoo has admitted that his team’s best efforts have fallen short following their 2–0 defeat to Asante Kotoko on Wednesday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Aidoo’s side went into the contest aiming to secure only their second win of the 2025–26 Ghana Premier League campaign, but those hopes were dashed by a difficult second half against one of the division’s most experienced outfits.
Although Eleven Wonders showed spells of organisation and intent, the head coach acknowledged that avoidable mistakes proved costly as Kotoko stepped up the pressure after the break.
“We have been trying to do our best, but it’s just not enough. We need to do more,” Aidoo said in his post-match interview.
The result lifted Asante Kotoko to third place on the league table with 27 points, while Eleven Wonders remain rooted to the bottom with six points after 15 matches.
Peter Amidu Acquah opened the scoring in the 17th minute to give Kotoko the lead.
The visitors wrapped up the victory late on when Johnson Oppong Owusu struck in the 89th minute to double Kotoko’s advantage.
