Nicholas Opoku gears up for Galatasaray test as in-form Ghana ace anchors Kasımpaşa’s Super Lig challenge on Sunday

Ghana’s most consistent defender in Europe, Nicholas Opoku, is set for another major examination when Kasımpaşa face Turkish Super Lig leaders Galatasaray at the iconic RAMS Park on Sunday, December 21, 2025.
The 28-year-old centre-back has emerged as a key pillar in Emre Belözoğlu’s side and is expected to once again marshal the defence as Kasımpaşa take on one of Turkey’s biggest clubs. Opoku’s reliability and composure have made him an automatic choice this season, with Sunday’s fixture set to mark his 17th league appearance, all completed for the full 90 minutes,  underlining his remarkable consistency.
Quietly going about his business, the former Udinese and Amiens defender has been enjoying one of the most impressive spells of his career.
