Karim Zito warns Heart of Lions ahead of Kotoko clash
· GhanaSoccernetAsante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has warned Heart of Lions ahead of their Ghana Premier League clash at the Kpando Stadium on Saturday.
Kotoko travel to Kpando on the back of an emphatic 3-0 win over Holy Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, with Albert Amoah, Kwame Opoku, and Guinean forward Morifing Donzo all in strong form. Zito stressed the need for total focus, insisting his side cannot afford to dwell on previous results.
“We have to forget about the past and think about the present because in football anything can happen,” Zito told Kotoko TV. “We are going in to play a game and come out with a nice performance and a win.”
Kotoko currently sit third on the table with 35 points, level with Aduana FC and Hearts of Oak. Heart of Lions are seventh with 27 points after 20 matches. With both sides eager to strengthen their position in the second round, Saturday’s encounter promises a competitive and closely fought contest.
