2025/26 Ghana Premier League: Week 30 Match Report - Bibiani Gold Stars 2-0 Samartex

Bibiani Gold Stars bounced back strongly from recent setbacks with a convincing victory over Samartex at the Bibiani Dun’s Park on Wednesday to boost their Ghana Premier League title hopes.

The Miners came into the match under pressure following consecutive defeats to Medeama and Aduana FC, results that had threatened to derail their pursuit of the league crown. However, they responded with an assured performance in front of their home supporters.

Michael Nkoah proved the difference on the afternoon, scoring twice in the first half to hand Gold Stars a deserved advantage before the break. The forward capitalised on Gold Stars’ bright start and attacking dominance to put Samartex on the back foot early in the contest.

Samartex, who arrived in Bibiani on the back of three straight league victories, struggled to recover after conceding and failed to produce the attacking threat that had carried them through recent matches.

The victory ended Gold Stars’ two-game losing run and moved them within two points of league leaders Medeama, who suffered defeat away to Berekum Chelsea on the same matchday.
