We controlled greater part of the game - Hearts of Oak coach Didi Dramani reacts after Medeama defeat
· GhanaSoccernetHearts of Oak coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has claimed his side controlled the majority of their 1-0 defeat to league leaders Medeama SC, expressing frustration at leaving Tarkwa without a point.
The match's decisive moment came in the 74th minute when Medeama midfielder Salim Adams scored a brilliant goal against his former club, extending the hosts' unbeaten run to 13 games and solidifying their position at the top of the Ghana Premier League table.
Despite the result, Coach Dramani was adamant his team deserved more from the encounter. "I don’t think the better team won. We didn’t deserve to lose today against Medeama SC," he stated in his post-match reaction. "We controlled greater part of the game; they also had their moment, and I think they scored a very beautiful goal."
The defeat is particularly bitter for Hearts of Oak, who entered the fixture with the best away record in the league this season and had previously taken six points from their last three visits to Tarkwa.
Dramani openly acknowledged the recurring issue that cost his team. "Absolutely, goalscoring is really a problem," he admitted, pointing to clear chances missed in both halves. "These chances you don't miss them, but we’re still a work in progress."
The loss leaves the Phobians in 5th place with 28 points after 17 matches, as their progress is stalled by a familiar lack of cutting edge in front of goal.
