Ghana’s U-17 side, the Black Starlets, have intensified preparations for their second international friendly against Ivory Coast’s Young Elephants following a recovery training session in Abidjan.

The session comes after their first meeting at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, where the team showed promise despite ending on the losing side.

The technical team used the recovery period to help players regain fitness while beginning tactical adjustments ahead of Thursday’s rematch. The light session focused on stretching, mobility work and controlled ball exercises to aid recovery while maintaining sharpness.

Special attention was given to injured players, with the medical team closely monitoring their condition ahead of the next fixture.

Coaches also engaged the squad in brief tactical discussions, stressing the need for better efficiency in front of goal after creating several chances in the first encounter without converting.

The Black Starlets are expected to return to full training on Wednesday as they fine-tune their approach for the second match, which offers another opportunity to assess the squad ahead of the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

The team will be aiming for a stronger and more clinical performance when they face the Young Elephants again on Thursday.
