Ghana’s George Boateng earns Coach of the Month nomination in Belgian

Former Ghana Black Stars assistant coach, George Boateng, has earned a Coach of the Month nomination for March 2026 after leading RAEC Mons through an unbeaten run in the Belgian third tier.

During the month, Boateng guided the Belgian side to two crucial victories and two draws, maintaining the momentum that has characterized his tenure since arriving in August 2025.

This latest recognition follows a string of tactical successes for the former Aston Villa youth coach, who has successfully transitioned from international scouting and coaching to club management in Europe.

Under Boateng’s leadership, RAEC Mons has emerged as the dominant force in the Belgian 1ste Nationale ACFF.

The team currently sits at the top of the promotion play-off table, positioning them as the favorites to secure a spot in the Belgian second tier next season.

This peak performance is the result of a disciplined campaign where Boateng has maintained a high points-per-match average, highlighted by a recent thrilling 4–3 victory over RFC Meux.

With a three-year contract in hand, Boateng’s primary mission remains returning RAEC Mons to the upper echelons of Belgian football.
