2025/26 Ghana Premier League: Week 12 Match Report - Eleven Wonders 2-0 Dreams FC
· GhanaSoccernetEleven Wonders finally recorded their first win of the season with a 2-0 triumph over Dreams FC at the University of Ghana Stadium on Monday.
The goals came from Mathew Amponsah and Edmund Afurapoe, both heading home in each half to secure a long-awaited breakthrough.
Amponsah opened the scoring in the 33rd minute after rising highest to connect with a well-delivered cross. Afurapoe then doubled the lead in the 55th minute, meeting another aerial opportunity to put Wonders firmly in control.
The bottom-placed side had endured 11 winless matches entering the fixture but showed renewed determination and organisation, marking a second consecutive positive result following their 1-1 draw against Hohoe United. Despite the victory, Eleven Wonders remain at the foot of the table, now on six points. They will look to continue their recovery when they meet Swedru All Blacks next.
Dreams FC, who remain just above the drop zone, struggled to take advantage of their chances despite registering 10 total shots. They will aim to regroup ahead of their upcoming home game against Bechem United.
The win is seen as a sign of resurgence under head coach Emmanuel Aidoo, the club’s third manager this season after the departures of Odartey Lamptey and Josef Emmanuel Sarpong.
