The Ghana Football Association (GFA)’s Technical Department has introduced a new online learning and examination system, the GFA Learning Portal, as part of efforts to modernise coach education across the country.

The initiative, led by Technical Director Prof. Joseph Kwame Mintah and implemented by Head of Performance Analysis Edward Gyamfi-Acheampong, was launched during the second batch of the CAF License B Coaching Course at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

Developed by Cyclux Consult, the platform is designed to improve accessibility, efficiency and standardisation in the delivery of coaching education, allowing participants to access materials and complete assessments digitally.

Prof. Mintah said the move reflects the GFA’s commitment to building a new generation of technically sound coaches through structured and innovative learning methods.

Gyamfi-Acheampong oversaw the technical rollout of the system, ensuring it was fully operational for course participants, who are the first group of Ghanaian coaches to use the platform.

The portal replaces traditional paper-based methods and is expected to broaden access to coaching education nationwide.

The GFA plans to expand the system across future licensing courses as part of its long-term strategy to strengthen football development at all levels.
