2025/26 Ghana Premier League: Week 22 Match Report- Berekum Chelsea 2-1 Heart of Lions

Berekum Chelsea handed their survival chances a huge boost after beating Heart of Lions 2-1 at the Golden City Park on Sunday. 

Prince Anane gave the host an early lead before Jonah Attuquaye doubled the advantage in the second half.

Heart of Lions fought to pull one back through Etse Dogli late in the thrilling encounter.

Chelsea made their early dominance count after Prince Anane converted from the spot to put them in the lead. Anane expertly placed the ball into the net, sending Lions goalie Jaison Nettey the wrong way.

Moments later, Chelsea were denied a second following a goal-line clearance by Seedorf Asante.

After the break, the visitors regrouped and showed determination to level with Ishmael Addo, testing Chelsea goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi.

Addo continued to cause problems for Chelsea, winning a free kick close to the hosts' box, but it was dealt with by the home side.

Just after the hour mark, Chelsea doubled their advantage through returnee Jonah Attuquaye, who finished off a brilliant move by the hosts.

Lions were awoken from their slumber with Asante hitting the spot from a header before Etse Dogli halved their advantage with an exquisite finish.

Heart of Lions began to put more pressure on Chelsea, creating goal-scoring opportunities, but could not convert, with Ofori Antwi also making some good saves.

With the referee adding four minutes of extra time, Chelsea were resolute at the back as they collected all three points.
