Zaid Suraj believes Hearts of Oak are ready for their Boxing Day test against FC Samartex after weeks of intense preparation.

The Phobians head into the fixture on the back of mixed results, with two wins, two draws, and one defeat from their last five league games.

Suraj pointed to the work done on the training ground as a major boost for the team, stressing their desire to keep chasing the league title and give supporters something to cheer about.

“I think from our training we have been working hard to win the match. Our aim is to win the league so we will try to beat Samartex to make the fans happy," he told Hearts of Oak TV.

The midfielder also highlighted the growing unity within the squad and the steady progress he has noticed in recent sessions.

“We are prepared. We will go on harder and make sure we win the match. I can see from the training that everyone is prepared. There has been improvement in the team,"

Hearts of Oak welcome Samartex to the UG Sports Stadium on Boxing Day, with kick off scheduled for 3:30 pm.
