Medeama Sporting Club forward, Abdul Salam, has disclosed that he wants to win the goal king award at the end of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

In addition, Salam is determined to do his best to ensure the Tarkwa-based side emerges as champions of the Ghana Premier League at the end of the season.

“At the end of the season, I want to be part of the team that will help Medeama to win the Premier League. As a number 9, I also want to emerge as the top scorer,” Salam told Medi TV in an interview.

Abdul Salam has been one of the key players in the Medeama SC team under coach Ibrahim Tanko this season.

He has featured in all 14 Premier League matches this season, scoring two goals to push the team’s title ambitions.

He was recently named Player of the Month and hopes to do more for his club.

“Winning the Player of the Month award feels great. The first nomination I didn’t win, so I told myself I would work harder to win the next one,” Abdul Salam shared in his interview.

The forward is expected to start for Medeama SC this weekend when the team takes on Heart of Lions in their Week 16 league fixture at the Kpando Sports Stadium. That match will kick off at 3:30 pm on Saturday.
