AFCON 2025: Six teams qualify for Round of 16 [Full list]

Morocco and Mali became the latest teams to progress into the last 16 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The two countries qualified on Monday night, following the conclusion of Group A fixtures.

The hosts thrashed Zambia 3-0 in Rabat, with goals coming from Ayoub El Kaabi (brace) and Brahim Diaz.

Mali also booked their place in the next round despite a 0-0 draw with Comoros in Casablanca.

Morocco qualify as group winners and Mali as runners-up.

They will join the quartet of Nigeria, Algeria, South Africa and Egypt as the teams that have reached the Round of 16.

The Round of 16 matches will be played from January 3rd to 6th, 2026.
