World Cup 2026: 3 Round of 16 fixtures confirmed

Three fixtures in the World Cup Round of 16 have been confirmed.

This follows Mexico’s Round of 32 victory against Ecuador earlier today.

DAILY POST reports that the co-host nation defeated Ecuador 2-0 to progress to the Round of 16.

Julián Quiñones and Raul Jiménez scored the goals for Mexico against Ecuador.

Mexico will now wait to see which opponent it will face in the Round of 16 stage.

However, France will take on Paraguay in the Round of 16 on Saturday after beating Sweden 3-0 last night.

Norway will face Brazil in the Round of 16 on Sunday for a place in the quarter-final.

Morocco will face co-host nation Canada in the Round of 16 on Saturday.
