NPFL: Monday happy to help Plateau United beat Shooting Stars

Plateau United forward Gideon Monday has expressed happiness with his contribution to the team’s 3-1 win over Shooting Stars.

Monday scored the equaliser for Plateau United, cancelling out Taheer Abubakar’s opening goal for Shooting Stars.

Seiyefa Jackson gave Plateau United the lead for the first time in the game before Jibril Ibrahim added the third for the hosts in a 3-1 win.

The forward said he attacked the goal with determination to give Plateau United the lead.

“I’m really happy with the victory, and also delighted to have scored my first goal for the club,” Monday told Plateau United media.

“I feel very happy to have scored against my former club, Shooting Stars. I know I had a chance which I attacked with determination.”

DAILY POST recalls that Monday joined the Jos-based club from Shooting Stars at the start of the new campaign.

He will hope to continue his scoring form when Plateau United face Doma United at the Pantami Stadium on Wednesday.
