NPFL: Heartland unhappy with venue change for Pillars clash

by · Daily Post

Heartland coach, Charles Uzor, has expressed disappointment with the sudden change in the venue of their matchday 12 fixture against Kano Pillars.

The Naze Millionaires were earlier billed to take on Kano Pillars at their temporary ground in Katsina but the venue was changed following the approval of their original home ground in Kano.

Heartland will now battle with Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday(today).

Uzor stated that his team won’t be distracted with the new change in venue.

“We are grateful to God for a hitch free journey to Kano. We are here for a purpose and we are determined to achieve that,” Uzor told the club’s media.

“To be frank we are not happy with the sudden change of venue when we were already Katsina bound but we won’t let that to distract us.

“We can only do what we have control over and not otherwise. We are going to play very well and plan for the game.

“We are a fit squad to pick from and the players won’t allow the presence of Ahmed Musa and his other teammates to disturb them. It is a game we have come to do well and we shall not return to Owerri without getting a positive result.”
