LaLiga: Lookman not ready for Atletico Madrid return – Simeone

Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone has said Ademola Lookman is not available for Saturday’s home clash with Athletic Bilbao, DAILY POST reports.

Lookman sustained an adductor injury in Atletico’s Copa dey Rey final defeat to Real Sociedad last weekend.

The Nigeria international missed the defeat to Elche on Tuesday.

There was optimism the winger would be fit for the visit of Bilbao but Simeone declared that he is not fit for the game.

“Ademola Lookman is not ready for tomorrow yet, it’s a good thing we took him off in the Copa final,” Simeone said.

The 28-year-old will hope to recover in time for the first leg of Atletico’s UEFA Champions League semi-final fixture against Arsenal next week.
