World Cup 2026: Nigeria goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye names country to win trophy

Okoye recently spoke at the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Show in Paris when he was asked about his thoughts on the ongoing World Cup.
The 26-year-old Udinese shot-stopper tipped France to win the World Cup after he admitted that he was rooting for Germany before they were eliminated from the competition.
“I was rooting for Germany, but, unfortunately, we are out already,” Okoye said via (Dazed on Instagram).
“I think I will go with France,” he added.
France will take on Morocco on Thursday night in the World Cup quarter-final fixture for a place in the semi-final.
