EPL: Joao Pedro pulls out of Brazil squad in fresh Chelsea blow

Chelsea forward, João Pedro, will miss Brazil’s upcoming international fixtures after suffering an injury.

This was confirmed by the Brazilian Football Confederation, CBF.

The 24-year-old had been included in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, but will now miss the games after being withdrawn from the national team.

The nature of the injury suffered by Pedro has not been disclosed.

Brazil will play Australia on September 25 and 29, before facing India on October 3.

Ancelotti has now replaced Pedro with Martinelli in the squad.

The upcoming matches will form part of Seleção’s preparations for the next international cycle following the 2026 World Cup.
