Transfer: Arteta still keen on Real Madrid forward

by · Daily Post

Arsenal are reportedly still keen on signing Rodrygo from Real Madrid.

According to TEAMtalk, the Gunners have maintained contacts with his camp, after missing out on his teammate Vinicius Junior this summer.

Mikel Arteta have previously targeted Rodrygo, but the move wasn’t feasible at the time because of the serious injury he suffered.

However, the Brazil forward is now inching closer to a comeback.

Arsenal want Rodrygo as an alternative to Vinicius, to bolster the left-hand side of their attack.

Arteta also tried and failed to sign the likes of Morgan Rogers, Bradley Barcola and Julian Alvarez in the summer.

It remains to be seen if Madrid boss Jose Mourinho will make Rodrygo a key member of his squad or sanction a transfer.
