I won’t revenge injustice or injury done to me – El-Rufai

Former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has vowed never to seek revenge for any injustice or injury done to him by those he stood by in the past.

El-Rufai said he is more concerned about being at peace with his conscience because judgment belongs to God.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, has detained El-Rufai following a petition alleging corruption, abuse of office and money laundering during his tenure as governor.

The ICPC said it was keeping the former governor in detention under a court remand order.

El-Rufai spoke in an article titled, ‘My Relationships and the Aftermath’.

Parts of the article read, “As for any injustice, ingratitude or injury done to me, I seek neither revenge nor retribution.

“Ultimate accountability belongs to Almighty Allah, and I leave that judgment to Him, in this world and in the Hereafter.

“In the end, each of us must live with the choices we make, and posterity will render whatever verdict it sees fit. My only concern is to remain at peace with my conscience and, above all, with Almighty Allah.”
