NPFL upholds Wikki goalie, Utim’s red card against Enyimba

The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has stamped the suspension of Wikki Tourist goalkeeper Godswill Utim.

Utim was issued a straight red card in Wikki Tourists’ 2-2 draw with Enyimba on Sunday.

The shot-stopper will now miss the Bauchi Elephants next three-game against Bayelsa United, Bendel Insurance and Ikorodu City.

The league body backed the center referee Jude Typhoine’s for his decision despite criticism from Wikki Tourists supporters.

The punishment was communicated to Wikki Tourists in a statement signed for the Chief Operating Officer Stanley Ike-Richard.

Wikki Tourists have been given 24 hours to appeal the decision.
