Ballon d’Or 2026: Uli Hoeneß names player who deserves to win award
by Don Silas · Daily PostBayern Munich Honorary President, Uli Hoeneß, has named striker Harry Kane the player who deserves to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
According to Hoeneß, the England captain deserved the award because of his performances throughout the year.
Speaking in a recent interview with Sport Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Hoeneß said of Kane’s Ballon d’Or chances: “I think you have to take into account the overall performance throughout the year. And then he more than deserves it [Ballon d’Or].”
Kane won the European Golden Boot and the domestic double (Bundesliga and DFB Pokal) with Bayern Munich.
