Man attacks nurse for refusing his advances

A young man attacked a nurse in a private hospital in Belagavi a few days ago, injuring her. The woman was saved, but her father died of a heart attack on Wednesday.

Prakash Jadhav attacked the woman with a machete when she was at work in the hospital. He was upset that she had refused his advances. She fought him and escaped. She has been admitted to the hospital, but is out of danger, the police said.

Prakash was her neighbour and asked her to marry him. But she refused him. He approached her father, only to be told to stay away from her.

Prakash was arrested and a case registered. Her father was worried that the accused may come out on bail and attack his daughter again.
