Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stands at 119.85 feet

The water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 119.85 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 864 cusecs and a discharge of 755 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the water level was 54.46 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 499 cusecs and a discharge of 2,849 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 4,023.83 mcft. Rainfall recorded in the last 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Tuesday was (in mm): Viraganur 10.4, Mullaperiyar dam 9.4, Pulipatti 6.4, Kallandiri 5, Thekkadi 3.2, Kodaikanal 2.8, Shanmuganadhi dam 1.2 and Manjalar dam 1.
