Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stands at 114.25 feet

Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 114.25 feet (permissible level is 142 ft) with an inflow of 197 cusecs and a discharge of 100 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level stood at 55.45 feet (maximum level is 71 ft) with an inflow of 14 cusecs and a discharge of 72 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 2030.19 mcft. Rainfall (in mm) recorded during the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Monday was as follows: Shanmuganadhi dam 24.6, Thekkadi 23.4, Viraganur 9.2, Pulipatti 6.4, Mullaperiyar dam 5, Gudalur 4.8, Chittampatti 2.6, Madurai 2 and Uthamapalayam 0.6.
