Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 114.40 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 3 cusecs and a discharge of 100 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level was 53.51 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 9 cusecs and a discharge of 72 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 2,023.17 mcft. Rainfall (in mm) recorded in the last 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Thursday was: Kallandiri 35, Mettupatti 11.8, Madurai 7, Chittampatti 5.2, Kodaikanal 4.8, Periyapatti 4.2, Shanmuganadhi dam 3.8, Pulipatti 1.6, Uthamapalayam 1.5, Elumalai 1.2 and Gudalur 0.6.
