Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stands at 113.30 feet

Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 113.30 feet (the permissible level is 142 feet) with an inflow of 396 cusecs and a discharge of 105 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was 56.43 ft. (maximum level 71 feet) with an inflow of 180 cusecs and a discharge of 72 cusecs. The combined storage in Periyar credit was 2,037.35 mcft. Rainfall (in mm) recorded in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Saturday was: Sothupparai dam 86, Manjalar dam 43, Andipatti 39, Kodaikanal 33, Vaigai dam 22.8, Shanmuganadhi dam 11.4, Marudhanadhi dam 10.4, Gudalur 9.6, Veerapandi 9.4, Mullaperiyar dam 8, Pulipatti 5.2, Kallandiri 4.2, Mettupatti 3.2, Peranai 1.8 and Thekkadi 1.2.
