Liverpool handed double injury blow ahead of Man City clash amid Premier League title race
by Mark Wakefield · Manchester Evening NewsLiverpool have been dealt two potential injury blows ahead of the clash against Manchester City this weekend.
City will travel to Anfield to take on the Merseyside club in the Premier League on Sunday as they look to finally return to winning ways and boost their title hopes. Pep Guardiola's side were beaten by Tottenham Hotspur in their last top-flight match and conceded a three-goal lead to draw with Feyenoord in the Champions League.
Wednesday also saw Liverpool in Champions League action as they faced Real Madrid. The Anfield club won 2-0 on home soil but were handed two possible injury concerns on the eve of facing City in the Premier League.
Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley emerged with potential injuries during the win over Madrid. Bradley was substituted with a possible muscle concern, while Konate collapsed on the pitch after the full-time whistle and received treatment before hobbling down the tunnel.

It remains to be seen if the duo will be unavailable for Liverpool to face City on Sunday. Arne Slot, the club's head coach, provided an update on both Konate and Bradley's potential injury but would not offer any hints as to the pair's availability for the weekend.
"No, not yet," Slot told the Liverpool Echo. "I know where they have pain, but how bad or how good it is difficult to judge so close after the game.
"But this is what happens during the season. We missed [Diogo] Jota today, we missed Alisson [Becker] today, we missed Kostas [Tsimikas] today, Trent [Alexander-Arnold] couldn't play from the start. This happens.
"I'm really hoping both of them are available to play because we want them all available, but if not someone else has to step up and until now this season everybody I've selected to start has shown up.
"That's also what is going to happen on Sunday if they can play, and if they can't play then other ones will start."
