Viktor Gyokeres has 'heart set on one club' amid Man United and Arsenal transfer links
by Bruna Reis · Manchester Evening NewsViktor Gyokeres reportedly has his heart set on a move to Manchester United.
The Sporting Clube de Portugal striker is linked with a move to the Premier League, just a year after arriving in Lisbon from Coventry City. His unstoppable form has seen him on the radar of the biggest European teams including Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
Speculation only intensified after Ruben Amorim left Sporting to take over at United. Now it appears Gyokeres would be keen to join his former coach at Old Trafford, according to The Sun.

The report claims the Swede has his 'heart set' on a move to the Premier League and a reunion with Amorim, who convinced him to join Sporting last year. It's said he believes reuniting with the Portuguese manager would be 'the best move' for his career even if it means snubbing a move to Arsenal and Chelsea - the two other clubs who are linked with him.
While a move in the January transfer window has been ruled out by Amorim, it has been suggested he could approach his former club for reinforcements in the summer. Former Premier League defender William Gallas, meanwhile, believes Arsenal have 'no chance' of signing Gyokeres. Speaking to Genting Casino, he said: "Arsenal have no chance of signing Viktor Gyokeres, he will choose Manchester United. He will follow Ruben Amorim to United, I think Gyokeres will suit Man United’s team, too."
In addition, former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood says Gyokeres is the ideal striker to provide 'firepower' to the Reds' attack. "Viktor Gyokeres, for me, is a must," he told Ladbrokes.
"I mean, he’s a player who knows English football, albeit in the Championship, but he’s been a revelation in Portugal, we’ve seen him ripping it up in the Champions League. And, above everything else, they need a striker, don’t they? When have you ever seen Man United with just one striker? In years gone by they’re had four in one squad!
"They’ve always had firepower in that area, but at the moment, when I look at it, Joshua Zirkzee is not a striker. He’s not a striker. So that leaves them with one: Rasmus Hojlund. Gyokeres has got a big buyout clause, I think, so they’re not going to be able to get him without getting some names out of the door, but he would massively improve that team, I’ve no doubt about that."
Although Gyokeres is understood to have a €100million (£83m) release clause, reports claim there is an agreement he could depart next summer for a fee of around €60-€70m (£50-£58m).
