Mickey Lee dead: Big Brother star, 35, dies after suffering cardiac arrests

Reality TV star and Big Brother contestant Mickey Lee has died at the age of 35 her devastated family has confirmed, saying Mickey died on Christmas day after cardiac arrests

A star of Big Brother has died aged just 35. Mickey Lee's death comes after the reality TV star suffered multiple cardiac arrests.

Her family confirmed the tragedy on Friday, a day after her death. Taking to Instagram, they wrote: "With profound sadness, the family of Mickey Lee announces her transition on Christmas in the early evening.

‘Mickey captured the hearts of audiences nationwide through her appearance on ‘Big Brother,’ where her authenticity, strength and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike. She will be remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of so many and for the genuine connections she formed on and offscreen."

It had been revealed earlier this week that Mickey had been hospitalised. THere had been a GoFundMe page set up to say the former CBS personality was in "critical but stable condition’ after ‘suffer[ing] a series of cardiac arrests".

While the family described the star has having a "long road ahead" they said she had been in a stable condition. In the description, Mickey's family described her as 'vibrant, strategic, and unforgettable personality'.

They said she had "captured the attention of fans with her energy, authenticity, and bold gameplay". Mickey finished n 10th place on Big Brother's 27th season in the United States. The show was eventually won by Ashley Hollis.

Following the sad news, fans and friends took to social media to share their devastation.

It comes after stars had took to social media to share their support prior to her death. Following news of her hospitalisation, Jimmy Heagerty, who was closely aligned with Mickey in the TV game said: "Mickey is a fighter, and I know she’s going to come back stronger than ever. Until then, let’s show up for our girl in every way we can."
