Mohammed Salah insists Liverpool are aiming to win it all this season.

Mohamed Salah dismisses Liverpool Premier League title doubters - 'I hate the idea'

Mohammed Salah thinks Liverpool can win every trophy they are competing for as he hits back at claims Arne Slot's men should be carrying the underdog tag in the Premier League

Mohammed Salah has claimed he "hates the idea" of Liverpool being considered underdogs for the Premier League title.

The Reds have entered the final international break of the calendar year five points clear of champions Manchester City but with two games against Pep Guardiola's team to come.

Arne Slot's transitionary period as manager has worked seamlessly with pre-season expectations that Liverpool might require a campaign to readjust.

But Salah has said he always believed that the Anfield club could win not just a second Premier League title but end up with a clean sweep of all the major silverware they are competing for.

"Win it all," Salah told the club's in-house media. "In my opinion, I work so hard every day, I hate the idea that we are underdogs.

"No, we have an incredible group ... In each position, you're gonna find players that are really one of the top three in the world. So, why we don't win it? This city and this club has to always fight for everything."

Slot's side are also top of the revamped Champions League after four games, the only team still with a perfect record, and they face an EFL Cup quarter-final away to Southampton in mid-December.

Meanwhile, injured City star Rodri has claimed Salah - whose contract situation remains unresolved - is the best player he has faced in the Premier League and is on par with Lionel Messi as the most difficult opponent he has ever come across.

Salah's deal at Anfield concludes at the end of this season and it is unclear whether he will move on or pen an extension.

And Rodri told Spanish media: "I’d say Leo (Messi), and in the Premier League, Salah in his prime. Going to Anfield is like a knife, it’s really tough."

Salah has scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 21 appearances versus the Premier League's reigning champions.
