Here's the Tottenham Hotspur team we reckon Ange Postecoglou will select as Ipswich Town come to N17 in the Premier League on Sunday

Ange Postecoglou has a couple of decisions to make as Tottenham return to action quickly with the visit of Ipswich Town on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs flew back into the UK in the early hours of Friday morning from Istanbul after an intense match at Galatasaray. They played the final half an hour of the 3-2 defeat with 10 men after Will Lankshear's red card, which came after the 19-year-old's first goal for the club.

Postecoglou had made seven changes to his side after the big win against Aston Villa and took captain Son Heung-min and Brennan Johnson off at half-time with this weekend's game in mind. That's because Tottenham have plenty of absent players at the moment with Micky van de Ven, Wilson Odobert and Richarlison all out with hamstring injuries. Timo Werner remains unavailable with a groin problem and Mikey Moore has been struggling with a virus this week.

Postecoglou could have Cristian Romero back in the fold if the Argentine feels able to play following a foot problem sustained in the win against Villa and Djed Spence also comes back into consideration after being ineligible to play in the Europa League. Sergio Reguilon also falls into that category but has yet to play for Spurs this season after failing to secure a move away from the club in the summer.

With all of that in mind, here's the team we reckon Postecoglou will select:

Goalkeeper - Guglielmo Vicario

Right-back - Pedro Porro

Postecoglou might be tempted to hand Djed Spence his first Premier League start for Spurs but if fresh enough the Spaniard will get the nod.

Centre-back - Cristian Romero

Romero has hit out before at the suggestion that he cares more about playing for Argentina so he could well be keen to play for Spurs before heading off on this coming international break.(Image: Catherine Ivill - AMA/Getty Images)

Centre-back - Radu Dragusin

The Romanian struggled in Istanbul after impressing against City and Villa and Postecoglou will have to decide between him and Davies if Romero is fit.

Left-back - Destiny Udogie

Central midfield - Pape Matar Sarr

Central midfield - Rodrigo Bentancur

The three-time Serie A winner was excellent in the second half in Galatasaray and should start again in the Premier League.

Central midfield - Dejan Kulusevski

Right wing - Brennan Johnson

Another goal and assist in recent days and just 45 minutes to his name on Wednesday so he should be ready to go.

Centre forward - Dominic Solanke

Three goals in his past two matches and he'll be looking to continue that against Ipswich.

Left wing - Son Heung-min

The captain has been building up his fitness after his injury and should be able to play a bigger part on Sunday.(Image: (Photo by Rob Newell - CameraSport via Getty Images))
