Rematch has enthralled soccer fans with a novel take on the beautiful game. Sloclap is far from finished with it, as evidenced by Wednesday's launch of Season 2. Season 2 has more in store for Rematch players, but the most exciting feature is one that isn't ready just yet. Sloclap has teased the addition of a 1v1 Duels mode.

Rematch's 1v1 Duels mode is exactly what it sounds like. It sees two players go head-to-head in a match to see who can score the most goals. There are no teammates and there are no goalies. In fact, there are a few moments during the Season 2 trailer where a moving panel can be seen along the goal line, so there still needs to be some degree of skill exercised when shooting for the goal.

As for what's available right now in Season 2, expect to see some tightened fundamentals in the form of refined dribbling and ball control. Outside of that, it's a lot of cosmetic fluff, like new goalkeeper animations, additional arenas, and some holiday bundles for the game's characters.
