Mirror, mirror, on the wall. What's the worst grind of them all?

Mirror Defense is a special type of Defense mission in Warframe. It features two different defense locations that you need to defend in sequence for a fixed duration. There are two variants of the missions available, with some different mechanics depending on which one you play.

Mirror Defense appears on two different nodes on the Star Chart, and each one has different requirements if you wish to be able ot access it.

  • Tyana Pass on Mars - you will need to have completed the Heart of Deimos quest in your Codex, and be at least Mastery Rank 3.
  • Munio on Deimos - you will need to have finished the Whispers in the Walls quest.

Both missions play out roughly the same way, except that on Tyana Pass, you will move through a void tunnel to travel between the two crystals you need to defend, while on Munio, you will just be running through the corridors of Albrecht's Laboratory and will be defending some of his devices, although outside that, the mechanics are the same.

For the duration of the defense, enemies will spawn and attempt to swarm the defense targets. On Tyana Pass, Citrine's Remnants will spawn in, and players can collect these by passing through them. Collecting 50 of them will heal the defense target for 3500 health and also grant it an overshield, and spawn a Prismatic Ward to help deal with enemies.

On Munio, these are replaced with blue, glowing glyphs, but the same rules apply. Picking up 50 of them will heal the defense target and spawn in Chyrinka Pillars to blast enemies to pieces. Typically, standard defense Warframes like Frost, Gara, or Oberon are all strong here, but you can run any Warframe you wish as long as it allows you to clear enemies quickly enough.
