We spoke to Spooky Doorway's Treasa and Dave McCabe about the upcoming third game in the Darkside Detective series.
by TJ Denzer · ShacknewsAfter a successful run with The Séance of Blake Manor in 2025, Spooky Doorway has returned to its Darkside Detective series with the upcoming third game, Darkside Detective: Backside of the Moon. The game is still in development, but I recently got to chat with programmer Treasa McCabe and writer Dave McCabe about what players can expect in Backside of the Moon and much more for this week’s episode of Indie-licious
Darkside Detective: Backside of the Moon is currently set for a PC release, but has no release date at this time. It does have a demo out right now, which we found to be quite fun. The McCabes shared a litany of details with us, including the development of the series so far, the challenges of an episodic game, the success and lessons of Blake Manor, and more.
